About Chief

IMG_4277.JPG

Jonathan Sheppard is a poet, painter, and author who has published five works; Someone Sinister (2013), Bad Stories (2014), Universe Unraveling (2016), The Night I Died and Other Poems (2018), and his first novel The Dorner Protocol (2021) under his own property Bad Thoughts Publishing Company.  He was born in the year 1985 and is from the beautiful but deteriorating hell hole of Seattle, Washington. He grew up in a home with his mother and three brothers but his childhood was heavily influenced by his grandparents. Many of his youthful days were spent in church with his grandma or on the bus with his grandpa.

He moved to Los Angeles in 2007, the same as all transplants, to pursue a career in film. After he was disillusioned he abandoned his film goals and enrolled at Los Angeles City College to pursue a degree in English Literature. LACC is where he met his wife and mother of his three children. He has a Baccalaureate from the University of California's Los Angeles campus.

He is a proud American in a state that is doing all it can to usurp all American values. The Bill of Rights is his backbone that is why he named his company as he did, to exercise his freedom of speech. When that is taken away he will always be free to have Bad Thoughts.
